2011 Season

Congratulations to ALL our Club Storm teams for
their outstanding record all season long!
This 2011 season will go down in history as

the BEST RECORD EVER

since Club Storm Volleyball began 11 years ago
at the Bob Sierra YMCA!

The 2011 USAV Annual Awards Banquet was held May 6th. Our beloved Club Storm was celebrated 3 times:

1. David Benzel from Growing Champions For Life 
 Sports Parent Education program was the keynote speaker. He mentioned his successful work with our Club in educating
our Coaches and Parents this past season.
2. Our 16 Black Team coached by Dave Wolcott and his daughter Katelyn won the "Best Officiating Team in the Florida Region"!! The whole team was there to receive the award. It was great!
AND
3. Our CLUB STORM PROGRAM and our Directors won the Biggie:
The BEST VOLLEYBALL CLUB and JR. CLUB DIRECTORS
in the state of Florida!!!
How exciting! The words they used to describe what type of club we are were perfect:
We are ranked #1 as the most educated coaching staff in Florida (Greater than 90% of our coaches- 22 out of 25- are USAV CAP Level I or II trained and/or accredidated) as well as our heavy emphasis on Educating our Parents and players about
Volleyball, Character, Integrity and Confidence both on the court and off. This winning combination has helped us reach and exceed our Competitive Goals we set at the very beginning of the season.

the Bob Sierra YMCA.
We could not have achieved this without your support!

13 Black team- Coach Travis- 1st Place Gold Champions 
USAV Tournaments three times!
 Including winning the 2011 U13 Florida Regionals Championship!
and 3rd Place in Gold two times.
* They had the best total-season record of any single
team in Club Storm history!

14 Black team- 1st Place Gold Champions
 Two USAV Tournaments  One AAU Tournament
3rd Place Gold twice

18 Black team- Coach Todd-1st Place Gold Champions once!

12 Black team- Coach Brenda- 1st Place Gold Champions once!
 2nd Place Gold Champions twice and 3rd Place in Gold twice

15 Black team- Coach Scott- 2nd Place Gold Champions twice
and 3rd Place in Gold twice!

16 Black team- Coach Dave-  2nd Place Gold Champions once
and 3rd Place Gold three times!

17 Black team- Coach John- 2nd in Gold once
and 3rd Place in Gold once!

On Sunday May 22nd at our 
Annual Club Storm Year-End Celebration:

Allison Walsh-  Valedictorian at Tampa Catholic
Megan Walsh-  Salutorian at Tampa Catholic

These special players were awarded the highest honor
Club Storm gives for their

Their Club Loyalty
Their Outstanding Character- both on and off the court
And their True Sportsmanship.

She received the following accolades for

2nd Team All-American - NCCAA
1st Team All-Conference
Voted MVP of her Team.
